Everybody can use more wisdom, and this little book, which the authors describe as a “Zentrepreneur’s Guide,” offers up some real mindful nuggets of thought. Called “wowisms,” these proverbs of possibility are intended to get your mind thinking, engage your spirit and enthuse your heart.
Accompanied by beautiful watercolor pictures, these quotes have a real Zen feel, and that is exactly the authors’ intention. The purpose of these sayings is not to bash you over the head with knowledge, but to create an inner shift of attitude that permeates all levels of being, bringing more lasting change and success. Some of my favorite quotes are:
Your dream may be dismissed, derided, disparaged, and cruelly ridiculed, but it cannot be taken away unless it is given up on.
And:
If you make each effort a masterpiece, know that the gods can do no better.
These brief sayings are delightful, and this small hardback book would make a wonderful and inspirational gift for yourself or anyone you know with a dream calling out to them to follow. The $14 price is a bit steep, and I do believe I have seen many of the sayings before in other spiritual/inspirational quote books, albeit with a little different tone, but Wowisms is still a book worth looking at. Perhaps it will lead to some “wow” moments that just might propel you towards the goals you’ve been dreaming of but doubted you could ever achieve.
