When Blood Calls, all those who are near should beware
- just as the judge found out.
Lucius Dragos can’t get the memory of Sara out of his head.
Within a single night, she ensnared his soul and soothed his daemon unlike any before her
- and now this human is in charge of the prosecution’s case against him. Worse yet, who he is and what he did are thrust into her face on her first day on the job. As a vampire, he isn’t tried in the normal human courts.
If the love of his life wins her case against him, she will be sentencing him to death. To her he is a murderer and a monster; she couldn’t possibly strive for anything less than a solid conviction, right?
In one night, Lucius became an addiction Sara will never be able to shake. Though this man may have command of her heart, if she must, she will see the justice of the law delivered. Lucius, however, is more complicated and connected than she
first realizes. When his bail is granted, the fun really begins. His connection to the murder of a judge is undeniable, but as more bodies begin to pile up, his guilt
grows less clear. He may battle a personal daemon on a daily basis, but he is not the monster
slaying innocents left and right.
Werewolves and vampires are in constant territorial struggles, but the word is
that a rogue vampire is responsible for the mounting bloodshed - and this vamp just so happens to have a grudge with Lucius. That
goes a long way in explaining the elevating bloodshed and Lucius’s involvement. With a serial killer freed from prison by a vampire, the werewolves’ plot only seems to
gain stronger footing. Between heated interludes that cannot be denied, Sara and Lucius hit the trail of the only lead he has to find his addlebrained ward
who may have been kidnapped by the rogue. Saddled with fighting his daemon and
a ticking clock as Lucius is, Sara will have little choice if the vamp is not found but to lead the love of her life to his execution, and forfeit the life of his ward to a serial killer.

making for an irresistible read that leaves you wishing for more. When Blood Calls is the first in a quick-to-be
