A secret branch of Homeland Security is responsible for some of the United States' most intense and amazing spy work by utilizing technology that most governments don’t even know exists yet. At the heart of this agency are top-of-the-line 007-type agents
not only skilled in combat, adaptability, suave demeanor, and high intelligence
- they are also are some of the best minds regarding that technology that isn’t supposed to exist…yet.
For Beth Whitney, these agents are definitely something fabulous to look at and fantasize over, especially Ethan, but never, never,
never will she allow herself date any of them. Ever. They live fearlessly, do whatever with whomever to get the job done, and always – the job comes first. Ethan, the best the agency has ever had, was the epitome of
the ideally committed agent, in addition to fabulously drop-dead killer looks. He was Beth’s greatest fantasy for over two years and her worst nightmare to her way of life.
When a long-running case of Ethan’s finally catches a break, Beth’s father, the head of the Agency, determines that Beth’s previous occupation makes her the only female qualified,
even though she's not actually an agent, to aid Ethan and pose as his long time live-in girlfriend. With gut-clenching acceptance, Beth prepares for her role as financial advisor to one of the most ruthless, murderous men in the world, but her real fear is the erotic sexual relationship blossoming into something drastically more between her and Ethan. How can she continue with this man who embodies everything that her heart and soul have
strived to protect her from since childhood? If he cannot commit to her fully, will she choose to leave the Agency and DC to begin life anew far from everything that she was raised around?
Monroe outdoes herself with a magnificent love story in the midst of terrific James Bond-type intrigue. Her characters are refreshing
and fun, and the whole alpha-male characteristic is always an exciting addition at the right times. There is no lack of page-turning interest as the relationships, spy work, and plot are crafted superbly enough to develop gently but progressively throughout the entire read.
There's no fear of boredom setting in halfway through - Satisfaction Guaranteed is a great read and a form of lovemaking any woman would desire.
