Cheryl De Vieau has a graceful gift of language and its metaphors as well as a genuine turn of a phrase that few can accomplish these days. The power of her imagery, particularly in "Midnight Lady," is mesmerizing to the point of being overwhelming. The passion she so fluently writes with is never so obvious as in "Gossamer Wings." In fact, every woman from the age of eighteen up should read this poem on her birthday, for it imparts a valuable lesson that today’s woman can and should learn from.

While not all of her poems are gems, there are enough that are sufficiently priceless to suggest poetry lovers pick up this book.
