Louisiana - New Orleans in particular - oozes temptation and desire from every corner. Hot days and warm nights filled with haunting, spicy jazz makes the lonely bayous a perfect place to meet and mate.
The Art of Desire
by Eden Bradley explores the inner needs of a woman who has suppressed her heart’s desire for too long. When she meets a gorgeous man of muscle, leather, and ink,
it's not only her heart that starts to beat to a rhythm of pure need. His tattoos upon her body
form a bond between them unlike any other. The desire and the need that sizzles through the art create a mark that will never find a duplicate.
Sydney Croft's Shadow Play is a ghost story of unusual extremes. A former supermodel has lost her career at the hands of a lusting ghost. Her images will never clearly show in any photo again because of this paranormal stalker. When an Undercover ACRO agent shows up to help her with the problem, more is at stake than just the ghost’s continued presence. This lowly agent/photographer has desired this woman since he read an article about her, but the more their romantic bonds tighten, the more pain
he feels. Her lust for him may be physically strong, but the lust for her former life is emotionally overpowering and far greater than what he
offers. She wants away from the ghost and from this hell, and the photographer is
merely a pleasant means to an end - or is he?
Night Vision by Stephanie Tyler is set in a rowdy, rundown, low-life bar not far from one of the many Louisiana
bayous. Former area resident Bat Kelly has been hired as a cooler for the bar
by the new owner. His name still invokes a strong tone of menace, and the locals quickly spread the word that Bat was back in town. But Catie Lanford
is no local - nor is she the kind of woman Bat usually finds tending Bar. Hot and sexy meets the bad boy, a combination perfect for nights of steamy passion, but inevitable heartbreak
blazes strong at the end of the road. Catie's future holds so much potential, and Bat is ready for something else
- older than she and past the road that she is embarking upon. How can it ever work out? It never did for Catie’s mother, but does that mean it can’t for Catie?
This is a great collection of spicy and thrilling romance stories by some of today's best authors
in the genre. Each short story is a little over 100 pages: long enough to sink your teeth into and short enough to get through in a quiet evening while curled up
in a blanket with munchies and nice glass of wine. This is a satisfying collaboration
among the three authors, who share the same agent and editor. Hopefully we’ll see more tempting tidbits like Hot Nights, Dark Desires in the future.
