This little book is going to be a gift item for the young people on your birthday list. It came out just before Christmas, along with others in the series, obviously as a stocking stuffer. I gave mine to my grandson.
It’s as clever and chuckle-worthy as the wonderful long-lived television show which proved for once and for all that adults will watch cartoons, and gladly. Neither politically correct nor terribly stinging in its satire, The Simpsons the show gave us something to laugh about in ourselves and around our cultural neighborhood.
Don’t expect true wisdom – how could Homer, the burger devouring self-seeking consummate anti-dad offer us that? Just look for the laughs, and they will find you. That’s true wisdom.
