Bestselling romance author Sharon Sala crafts an emotional and touching romance in Chance McCall. Chance is the lead foreman on Marcus Tylerís ranch. He fled his hometown of Odessa, Texas, and appeared on Tylerís ranch seeking work when he was in his teens. After working on the ranch for several years, Chance has become well acquainted with Jennifer Ann Tyler, Marcus Tylerís daughter and only child. Chance has always been by Jenniferís side for support and love, which Jennifer desperately needed with her fatherís constant business trips and her mother's dying weeks after Jennifer was born. Indeed, Jennifer holds a special place in Chanceís heart, and he would do anything to protect her. Chance is more than an employee on the ranch; he is family.

As Jennifer sheds her part-tomboy, part-ruffian image from her childhood, she blossoms into a beautiful young woman. Her love for Chance has evolved and changed into a more mature, adult love Ė a love that runs so deep that Jennifer only has eyes for Chance. There is no room for another man in her love life. Chance is in love with Jennifer, but he has always kept a certain distance from her. His past is checkered, and deep in his heart he knows that the past will continue to haunt him - and that Jennifer, the heir and daughter of a wealthy ranch owner, deserves better than him.

Jennifer does not understand Chanceís reservations and the reason he puts distance between them. It frustrates her and hurts her Ė why wonít Chance accept their destiny together? As these questions plague her, Chance has a tragic accident that robs him of his memory. The only thing that he remembers is that he loves Jennifer, this beautiful young woman whom he cannot remember but feels inexplicably drawn to. However, Chance knows that he must leave the ranch and return to his roots to retrieve his memories from his lost past. Jennifer knows that her life will not be complete without Chance, and she decides that she must follow him until he finds the answers to his past.

Chance McCall is tender and heartwarming. It is a wonderful romance novel that demonstrates how love can be reborn and overcome incredible odds, and that true love never dies.
