Wow! If you love words, this book will have you addicted within a few pages. Word matches, multiple choices, and - toughest of the tough - deciphering phonetic spellings (without definitions being given) make these quizzes a superb brain challenge and a heck of a lot of fun.

Grambs and Levine should adapt this little gem into textbook form, and So You Think You Can Spell? should be in every classroom in America. As a wannabe word nerd, I must admit that this book has given me hours of joy already. I am amazed at the variety of quiz forms the authors have invented.

The quizzes with a word or partial word that require you to figure out the “correct adjectival” form are whimdillies. For fun, a quiz requesting the British spelling of common words is a mind-bender.

The size makes it perfect as a stocking stuffer, and I guarantee that any verbally agile gerbil will love this book.
