It isn't what he's expecting when, out of the blue, a fairly attractive she-jackal crosses his path with a handful of kids in tow. Hunter that he is, his senses can't help but be honed to the female who seems to have it all--plus a lot of trouble--to get his masculine alpha nature spiking to protect her. Of course, being hired for the job is a perk, but it soon becomes evident that there's a lot more to explore between them that would inevitably alter their lives forever--if they are willing and survive the deadly challenge they face.

Whew--talk about out-of-this-world sexual chemistry! Ricky Lee is in for the surprise of his life when this little complicated alpha woman proves to be the best sex of his life, and he for her as well. Toni and Ricky need each other more than either will admit, but if these two shapeshifters can't survive the drama, what feels so right between them may not last.

Shelly Laurenston is a hot read in the paranormal romance genre with an impressive collection of novels and series in her portfolio. Wolf with Benefits is the eighth novel in Laurenston's Pride series and a delightful continuing storyline for some of the more notable characters prevalent in the majority of the series. Humor and passion and highly-electrified situations make Wolf with Benefits another excellent addition to the continuing shapeshifter saga.

Those who enjoy novels by comparable authors such as Cynthia Eden and Keri Arthur will most likely find the feisty and imaginative characters and plots Laurenston creates to be a real pleasure. In terms of shifter violence, Laurenston keeps the aggressive passion focused more on the romantic aspects of the character interactions.  That brings an element of playfulness to the more alpha-dominating tendencies other authors are more noted for making violent.
