Curled Up With a Good Book is an e-zine committed
to bringing good books from presses of all sizes to the attention of our
readers
and newsletter subscribers. Our book review site attracts more than .4
million page views a year and the number is growing. Publishers, authors
and
agents can send review copies to us at our general shipping address:
Curled Up With a Good Book
5408 W. 32nd St.
Sioux Falls, SD 57106
For publishers and authors wishing to promote their books on Curled Up With a Good Book, we offer two options:
- Full promotional program
Individual titles featured in our monthly online full-scale promotion get run-of-site attention in several ways:
- Offered as a prize in our monthly book giveaway drawings
- Featured review on our web site (from home page and bookstore) for one month
- Review remains accessible in archives on our site in perpetuity
- Banner ads across the site for one month (see the bottom of this page for an example of one of our banner ad designs)
- Mentioned prominently in all editions of our newsletter for the month
- Link to publisher's site (if applicable) from book review
The banner ads and front (home) page featured book cover link to the title's page on Barnes & Noble online (bn.com) or to the author or publisher's web site.
Spot ad promotion
The more economical of the advertising options we offer, the spot ad promo features a prominent (above-the-fold) run-of-site text blurb of one to two sentences linking to either the author/publisher's web site or to the book's page on Barnes & Noble online at bn.com as well as featured placement in all editions of our newsletter published during the month of the ad run.
The cost to the publisher for all this exposure is modest by today's WWW
advertising standards. Promotions run from the first through the last days
of each calendar month. Please note that we do not guarantee click-throughs
or online sales for either of these promotions. Their purpose is to pique
the interest of our site visitors, to raise interest in the promoted
titles. For rates and further details, email
.

Editorial services
Publishing services like iUniverse and 1stBooks have made getting published a snap. The disadvantage writers going this route face is a lack of quality editorial assistance. While authors no longer have to surrender their manuscript to an eternity languishing in a large publishing house's slush pile, neither do they benefit from sharp editorial scrutiny. Make sure that your writing sings. Curled Up With a Good Book's editors can help first-time and self-published authors polish and preen their prose with copy editing, proofreading and style assistance. Email
for rates and details on our editorial services.
Web design
A web site promoting your books and yourself has become di rigueur in today's book marketing world. Our parent company, ELBO Computing Resources, Inc., has the experience to make your web presence memorable and the reasonable pricing to make web design and hosting affordable. Email elbo.net for information on web development.
