Although an import from India to Tibet, yoga has been swallowed up as an integral part of Tibetan culture. This book focuses on heart yoga that developed with the Dali Lamas. The guide in this book combines common yoga poses with Tibetan poses and focuses on making changes from within by beginning in the heart.

As a conservator of ancient Buddhist writings, Geshe Michael Roach stumbled upon works about yoga that had hitherto been unknown. By utilizing what he learned from the texts he found he has created a healthy program involving meditations and yoga postures to deal with the weight of the world that seems to be on everyone’s shoulders. The book has a nice conversational style to put the reader at ease.

If you are looking to lessen the stress in your life (and who isn’t) run don’t walk to your nearest book store and get a copy of The Tibetan Book of Yoga.
