This excellent new release from Hal Leonard is a book for beginners just
starting to negotiate the maze known as the digital audio workstation (DAW).
Described as an activity-based program, the book offers many hands-on
exercises to fully immerse the novice in the study of digital recording.
Getting Started with Music Production offers help on:
- Recording, editing and mixing music using a digital audio workstation.
- Knowing the meaning of essential audio terminology.
- Understanding basic audio concepts.
More specifically, you'll learn about everything from mixing pop and rock
and funk to bossa nova and electronica. Along the way, you'll come to
understand ambience and tone. You'll receive input about setting up your own
home studio, and in order to reinforce all these concepts, you'll engage in
creative and useful exercises along the way.
It's a digital jungle out there, and the only way to conquer it is to
understand the terrain. There is no better map out there than this book.
