The most amazing thing about Body for Life for Women is not that it is a very sensible diet and exercise plan that anyone can put into play, or that it is geared specifically for women of all ages, or that its author is one of the leading experts in the areas of nutrition and metabolism. The most amazing thing about this great life-altering book is the collection of jaw-dropping before and after photos of dozens of women who have made the commitment to getting their own “body for life.”

These photos alone are motivating enough to get any woman up off the chair and into some walking shoes, but the great thing about Peeke’s book is that it keeps the motivation going with a simple plan of eating healthier, dealing with stress, sleeping better, and getting the right type and balance of exercise. Sure, plenty of other diet books on the market do the same, and even Peeke’s book seems to advocate the usual healthy-fat, lower carb diet, as the others do, but you just keep coming back to those pictures, which adorn the inside front and back covers and appear throughout the book. Pictures that you can’t look away from, so mind-boggling are the changes these women went through in just twelve weeks.

In Body for Life for Women, the author teaches that women, no matter their age, can get in better shape, improve their health and well-being, tighten and tone their muscles, and even get back into clothing they haven’t worn in years – and they can do it in a fairly short period of time (twelve weeks) with the right attitude and a few inexpensive items like hand weights or exercise bands and ball.

There are photos of the proper weight exercises that will help women shed body fat and build calorie-burning muscle, and a basic eating plan that won’t give you a headache trying to figure it out. There are personal stories of women who have accepted the Body for Life challenge, and lists of food do’s and don’ts to keep you on track, even when you snack. And there is plenty of medical research to back up what Peeke promises will have you operating at your “Peeke Performance” in just a few months.

Body for Life for Women is based upon the hugely successful Body for Life plan, which has converted millions into healthier, happier people, but this time it’s all about being a woman, with all the specific health and hormonal issues women experience factored in. That alone makes it a must-have for any woman who wants a better life, physically and emotionally.

That, and those amazing pictures.
