When you get married, you want everyone in your family to see the best characteristics in
your “intended.” The same is true for Lottie. She wants her older sister, Fliss, to see
the reasoning behind her whirlwind marriage to Ben.
There are a lot of confused people involved in this book as it goes along. Ben and Lottie aren’t sure why they even get married. Ben’s best friend, Lorcan, has been called to travel to Ikonos where the destination wedding is to take place. He runs into Fliss at the airport,
where their flight is delayed. The hotel manager is confused, also: he’s been told to stop at nothing to sabotage the honeymoon--down
to the honeymoon suite having two twin beds.
Through many mishaps and outrageous happenings (mostly planned by the bride’s sister), Ben and Lottie do not have an opportunity to consummate their marriage. Richard, Lottie’s longtime “commitment-phobia” boyfriend, travels to the Greek Isles also hoping to disrupt the honeymoon so he can get his “girlfriend now another man’s wife” back for his own.
Wedding Night by Sophia Kinsella will have you laughing from cover to cover. Aren’t you supposed to cry at weddings? You are
certain to have tears rolling down your face throughout this book.
