When a vindictive contract killer tries to take out Paul Madriani’s daughter, the knife-wielding assassin sets off a chain of events that takes the defense attorney and his companions on a quest for justice around the globe.
Before justice is meted out to Liguida, Madriani’s adversary, the reader follows Madriani on a hunt that takes the attorney to Bangkok, Paris and Mexico. Along the way, he uncovers a secret weapon that could be as deadly as a nuclear device without the radiation problem and encounters a handful of individuals bent on controlling this frightening technology.
The secrets for sale here are deadly in nature and closely connected to the story’s principal antagonist, Liguida, who is a pretty lethal character himself. The pursuit and “neutralizing” of this villain and those around him provides an exciting read. If you’ve read the previous adventure/thrillers in this series, you know that Steve Martini has got the formula down pat. This latest adventure maintains the high standard he’s set and is just as satisfying as the earlier works.
