Wrought with emotions from a compilation as varied, unique, and vibrant as the flowers in a Hawaiian bouquet, these poems will carry your spirit as far as it is willing to go. At times there is a sorrow so deep it could only have been expressed through poetry or tears. Other times, your spirit soars with majestic eagles into the beauty of creation.
There is something here for everyone inclined to such revelry. As with any bard’s salt, you will be driven into examining yourself within, in places most of us do not often visit - a reckoning, if you will, with your spirit man and with God.
Excerpt: “My Right”
My right was my sacrifice,
my right was my loss,
my right was walking out,
my right was wanting to know.
My right was to pursue,
my right was to succeed,
my right, my loss,
will be redeemed.
Sefler’s Through the Ages is her second publication of poetry drawing from ancient Qabbala, scripture, nature and creation. She expresses a yearning for a redeemer, a true hero, and she alludes to biblical figures as such personas and archetypes in our lives. To soul -searching poetry fans, this is a must-read.
