Among the hundreds of spiritual and self-help books published each year, those by Wayne Dyer stand out as being the most inspirational, empowering and just plain fun to read. Dr. Dyer, who has authored such best-selling giants as Your Erroneous Zones, Real Magic and Manifest Your Destiny continues his winning streak with his latest book, There's A Spiritual Solution To Every Problem.

Using the famous and beloved prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, "Lord Make Me An Instrument of Thy Peace," as a model, Dyer presents us with a series of lessons that provide the essential foundation of a spiritual practice that can help us to solve all problems. Dyer breaks the prayer down line for line, chapter by chapter, and presents tools and concepts anyone can use to bring their energies into alignment with God, or the source of all good, and watch their problems dissolve in the light of truth.

For example, Dyer takes the line "Where there is doubt, faith" and proceeds to help us find our faith amidst our own doubting hearts, and how to keep our faith once we find it no matter what happens to us on the outside. Another line from the prayer, "Where there is hatred, let me sow love," is so timely and appropriate with the racism, terrorism fears and insecurities we are all suffering with today, and will show you just how you can become a nullifier of hate by refusing to give off hate energy in return. These are not easy lessons, but they are profoundly important if we want to know peace in today's world.

Drawing upon all the great spiritual traditions, Dyer offers real and usable means for achieving more love, peace, serenity, growth, hope, faith and inner security in a world that often demands we place our attention on the wrong things. We learn how to raise our energy and detach from material greed and desires, as well as how to lovingly deflect the hatred and anger of others. We understand the negative aspects of worshiping materialism, and come to realize that our outer world is really just a mirror image of what is going on inside of us. Good news is, if we don't like that outer picture, we can change the inner image, and Dyer shows us how.

I love Dr. Dyer's personal style of writing. He uses so many examples from his own life, as well as examples from the hundreds of people he has counseled and talked with over the years, including in this book some powerful and moving letters he's received from people who have utilized his teachings and seen amazing results in their lives. There is no preaching, no dry psychobabble, no doctrine or dogma in Dyer's books or his teachings, making his work accessible to anyone from any spiritual path.

There's A Spiritual Solution To Every Problem came into my hands at a time when I was struggling to cope with my own share of fears and anxieties, and I cannot emphasize how helpful the wisdom within these pages has been to me. The clever use of the Assisi prayer also really allowed me to grasp the lesson being taught that corresponded with each line of prayer, because I kept in mind how successful St. Francis was at achieving his own personal peace and joy. What a great example Dyer provides to model how we handle the darker events in our lives.

Whether you are dealing with fear, anxiety, lack of financial prosperity, anger, bigotry, chaos or any disease or physical ailment, there are tools you can use in this wonderful book to help you learn to help yourself, and to tap into the always-available power of God (however you imagine God to be) that is just really always a thought and a prayer away.
