Nicki’s nightmare was more bizarre than scary, but the spookiness factor remained relatively high: two women and a girl hovering over her bed — alright, their talking heads were hovering — discussing something about her boyfriend lying next to her and deciding to leave the memory of this encounter in her head. They were ghosts - had to be - and a gut feeling told her this would not be the only time their paths crossed.

Joe Bascombe, a sexy doctor with a relatively open mind concerning the paranormal, fell in love with Nicki Styx as they battled evil, saved souls, and bested the Devil himself. Joe wants to give Nicki the benefit of the doubt when she starts claiming that ghosts, albeit in living flesh, are trying to tear them apart. Sadly, his sympathy for Nicki's claims are less than half-hearted: the gorgeous, alluring woman who is the main target of Nicki’s ghostly accusations becomes a fantasy obsession for him day…and night.

This evil trio of women aim a shocking strategy of destruction at Nicki. With the heart-shattering troubles arising between her and Joe, Nicki finds the additional burdens of a suicide victim’s family drama nearly unbearable. When she finds the family is connected to the ghostly trio, the sense of fear and defeat in her life becomes monstrous.

Sometimes help comes from the most unexpected sources, like the very sexy Devil himself. The truth about exactly whom, and what, is out to destroy Nicki is more than a little frightening. What makes the injustice of the situation worse is the real impetus behind the trio’s vendetta. Nicki’s life is on the line, and there's absolutely nothing she can do to save herself. There is, however, one who can make it all go away. The question is, will he?

Terry Garey hits the paranormal romance genre with a great new twist. With a heroine both witty and real (for the fictional circumstances, that is), this novel’s success is dependent on the personality Garey gives her. Silent Night, Haunted Night is an entertaining read nicely comparable to books like Amy Garvey's Christmas Spirit.
