In this cold concrete world, reaching out and making contact with strangers may not always be welcome to all personality types.
Bitterness, fears, and competition play a large role in today’s isolationist behavior.
Jill Spiegel shows us time and time again that kindness breeds kindness, breaking through the toughest barriers - even if it takes a while
- in a little book called How To Talk To Anyone About Anything!.
I found myself answering the self-help questions that guide the reader to consider obstacles that exist
their own lives. In doing so, I was able to develop brief positive-reinforcement statements that help me reach my goals: “I feel adventurous, outgoing and confident that I can find good in people and connect with them on a personal level,”
and “My anxiety is only an emotion, I can choose another.”
The book perpetuates peace and proactive behavior in the world. Spiegel's carefully worded self-help book allows
the reader to be the person who brightens a room when they enter it. Self-defeating mind messages can be recognized and changed to more positive statements instead. Examples of both subtle and obvious judging scenarios in life reveal that we could choose to celebrate learning experiences and embrace diversity in each individual. We learn how to diffuse gossip and break away from commitments or long-winded conversations gracefully.
Jill is the author of four other books: Flirting For Success, Flirting With Spirituality,
The Flirtologist Guide to Dating, and The Pocket Pep Talk. She has also produced four motivational CDs including
- Jill Spiegel Tells Her Story, Jill Spiegel’s Best Tips, Jill Spiegel’s Top Dating Tips, and
Jill Spiegel’s How to Talk To Anyone About Anything! Top Tips.
Jill Spiegel's How To Talk To Anyone About Anything! is packed full of helpful advice presented in a friendly manner,
and I highly recommend it. Readers will appreciate the organized table of contents
detailing the eight chapters in a clear and concise way. Sadly, I do have to dock it a half-star due to the lace of environmental publishing options employed in the creation of the book,
although it is printed in the US, which equates to fewer fossil fuels in transport to North American readers.
