This is a drink book which details not only the ingredients that go into the drinks but also the stories behind each drink. I loved the singular descriptions as Mr. Hamilton humanizes the drink to show the reader how it feels to drink them. For instance, when describing the Lucy Liu (Shanghai Cosmo) he says, "The cocktail played one of the oldest of games. It hesitated for the first few sips, content to be pretty, and then the trick went up my sleeve."

I loved this book, it was a fun read. Great presents for confirmed bachelors, current and ex-bartenders, or anyone who likes to drink and have fun while mixing things up.
