You don’t have to be planning a walk down the wedding aisle to get the benefits of Bootcamp360 For Brides. It stands on its own as a fun, motivating fitness and nutrition plan that is filled with common sense and a no-nonsense attitude sure to get your booty off the couch, soldier! I SAID NOW!!!

But if you are a bride-to-be, this is the best fitness program out there for toning up in time for the big day. Author Tamara Kleinberg is the CEO and “original bride” of Bootcamp360, which she founded in 2001. She’s a certified personal trainer, so she knows her stuff, and it is presented here with all the energy, demand and fierceness of a bootcamp drill sergeant barking out orders to her flabby and unmotivated underlings.

Designed to get, and keep, that pre-wedding weight off using intense exercise and a nutritional makeover, Bootcamp360 For Brides uses tons of photographs of real women doing the moves that will make you stand out as a bride with a bod of steel. It also features inspirational stories of brides who made it through the bootcamp training and came out looking just the way they had always dreamed of for their big day. The whole style of the book is one of both serious hard work and campy fun, as the program begins with strength training, aerobics and stretching for flexibility. There are three levels; basic, advanced and hard core, and they all lead up to a Bride’s One-Hour Full-Body Workout sure to whip even the flabbiest fiance into shape.

There is an entire section on fuel for the body – eating right to get results, and plenty of tips and techniques to keep up motivation and hold yourself accountable, as well as how to keep the weight off for good. Also featured are some easy recipes, exercise logs, and (my favorites) personal success stories with before and after photos for even more inspiration. Again, the book is written with energy, and conveys a “no excuses” plan of attack that will get even the laziest gal up and sweating in no time.

I was luckily a slim and toned bride, but if I had to do it all over again today, almost 20 years later, I sure would need the discipline and energy of a program like Bootcamp360 For Brides. Come to think of it, I could use this book just to get back into my old jeans, let alone my wedding dress!
